What is NaNoWriMo?

It’s almost November, and November is a big month for writers because November is…

da duh da!

National Novel Writing Month!

Or, as we like to call it, NaNoWriMo!

NaNoWriMo is a nonprofit group that encourages writers to write a novel in a month. (Or at least start your novel…or work on your novel…).

I’m a big fan of this concept. It screams accountability and priority. And if you’ve read my blog for very long, you know that I’m all about that!

To get involved, go to nanowrimo.org and create a free account. There you will get the tools to plan your novel, access a large community of other writers and get tons of encouragement on your progress from staff and other published authors.

If you have been thinking about writing a book, here is a great chance to get serious about it, and get some great support.

If you have been working on your book forever, this is a great tool to get it finished.

If you just want to check it out to see what it’s all about, I highly encourage you to do so.

Writing doesn’t have to be something you do by yourself all the time!

Join up with NaNoWriMo and get it done!
